If you live around Durham College Oshawa campus and craving Thai food, check out California Thai for lunch.

This place offers a wide range of dishes, but a special lunch offer for only $9.75 CAD made me want to check this place out.

The interior was very welcoming and enlightening.

Eating at California Thai

I ordered the fish cooked in their manchurian sauce, first impressions is they don’t hold back on the spice level.

The steamed rice was a absolute must for this firey manchurian gravy, I felt the heat throughout every bite and the only thing calming it down was the rice.

The fish was paired nicely with the firey gravy, it was very flakey and held onto the sauce well.

Califonia Thai Verdict

• For $9.75 CAD this is good deal, and they have many dishes to pick from.
• I can see myself coming back only for the lunch special to try different combinations.

This store was located very north of Oshawa, unless you work or live around that area, I wouldn’t necessary make the drive out to try it.
